A Goldendoodle is a crossbreed derived from a Golden Retriever and a Poodle pairing. These dogs make an ideal family pet. They are easy to get along with because they are an extremely social dog that loves children and gets along well with other animals. Happy by nature, these dogs make excellent companions for walking, jogging, swimming and taking to the road for family trips or camping excursions.
Different kinds of doodles. There are a few different kinds of “Doodles” as they are affectionately called by breeders and owners alike. As Mini Doodles are a relatively new breed, their actual size may vary from generation to generation. This size variation is common with any new breed.
Standard Goldendoodles start around 45 pounds and typically go up to around 70 pounds (large Standards range from 50 to 90 lbs and up) and average from 20-24 inches in height. Standard Goldendoodles are the result of crossing a Golden Retriever and Standard Poodle.
Miniature Goldendoodles typically weigh between 30 and 45 pounds and stand 14 to 19 inches tall. They are created by breeding a Golden Retriever and Miniature Poodle.
Petite or Toy Goldendoodles weigh approximately 15 to 30 pounds and are commonly 15 inches and under in height. Petite doodles result from a Golden Retriever and Toy Poodle cross.
Focus on the mini. Miniature Goldendoodles are extremely popular. Since many people are unable to keep large dogs in their homes, apartments and condos, the mini Goldendoodle makes an excellent choice. City dwellers particularly are choosing more lofts, condos and apartment residences. The minis love to go everywhere with you and are fantastic tiny little travellers. These dogs are compatible with practically any lifestyle.
Bred For health and temperament. These little gems are super smart and easy to train. They adore people of all ages, making them a wonderful addition to any loving family. These dogs are a great choice for first time dog owners due to their laid back personality and easy trainability. Mini doodles crave to be with you and separation anxiety can potentially occur if you leave them on their own for extended periods of time.
Some experts say the best way to avoid separation anxiety is to crate train your dog. This will give them a sense of their own personal space and security. When you are leaving for work or school, try leaving an article of recently worn clothing in their bed or crate to keep your scent near while you are away.
Coat. Mini Doodles are highly sought after due to the fact that many people with allergies are not affected by them. There is some risk of shedding; however many do not shed at all. Whether their coats are straight or curly, they are extremely easy to care for.
These smart and affectionate canines will warm your heart and complete your home. Mini Doodles are one of the most popular breeds around right now and we can see why people adore them so much.
